Finance Intern (Finance)

This internship position is an on-site role and is located within our Horsham, PA manufacturing location within the Accounting and Finance team.

Responsibilities:

Accounting: Responsible for supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory valuation and control, month end reporting, account reconciliations, daily orders and sales reporting, general ledger and consolidation reporting, and supporting the Horsham Accounting Manager with special projects and on an as needed basis.

Finance: Work collaboratively to prepare month end forecasts for the current quarter and current year. Performs variance analysis i.e. actuals vs. forecast and vs. budget.

Internal controls: Assists in assessing the reliability of financial reporting, compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies, and the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations. Learn and help maintain a strong system of controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Purchasing to Accounts Payable business cycle: Support AP cycle through invoice vouching and by working closely with the AP Accountant, Accounting Manager, and Buyers to resolve delivery and invoicing issues, including the disposition of returned material to suppliers.

Tax: Assist Accounting Manager in completion of tax filings and state tax audit requests, as needed.

Finance: Opportunities to help prepare for, and observe, monthly and quarterly Financial Analysis meetings with Corporate Finance team.

Other duties as assigned.

Receive guidance, training and oversight from the AMETEK STC Finance and Accounting team on assigned projects, and you will be expected to utilize your drive and educational experience to make a positive impact on the organization.

Qualifications:

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, strong attention to detail.

High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.

Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Finance, Accounting, or another related field.

Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future. Please note that AMETEK does not provide sponsorship for internships or entry level roles within this part of the organization.

Candidate must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the Summer 2025 period.

Compensation

Employee Type: Hourly

Salary Minimum: $30,000

Salary Maximum: $35,000

Incentive: No
