The Associate Director (EC-6) for the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and Rice Teacher Education Program at the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies reports to the Director of Education and will increase its capacity to prepare students for careers and services in the Education sector through the rigorous 30-hour, non-thesis graduate degree program, Undergraduate Teacher Certification Program, and Principal Certification Program. The Associate director will develop, implement, administer, and evaluate credit course offerings, including curriculum development and revision, oversee the creation of instructional course materials for primary education (grades EC-6) teachers. The Associate Director position will provide student support, collaborate with Marketing to lead MAT and teacher preparation outreach initiatives, and assist with program evaluation. Additionally, the Associate Director will serve as a member of the (non-tenured track) teaching faculty and teach multiple courses per year.
Ideal candidates should have extensive skills and experience in administration of credit programs and Texas Education Agency (TEA) vetted primary education (grades EC-6) teacher and/or principle residency. Demonstrated academic advising experience and skills are also important.
Salary
Salary staring at $80,000, Depending on Experience and Qualifications
