Fire Alarm Technician (Security)



Summary of Position:  

This job would entail programming and installing Fire Alarm systems at our client sites. In addition, this role would be responsible for testing and inspecting Fire Alarm systems.

Essential Education and Qualifications:

  • Experience installing/wiring Fire Alarm systems.
  • Display a track record of good attendance and dependability
  • 3+ years of experience with installation of fire alarm, access control, CCTV, paging and nurse call systems
  • Programming experience with any of the following systems: Notifier, Simplex, EST, Siemens, FCI, Silent Knight, Bosch, etc.
  • Identify & troubleshoot fire alarm deficiencies
  • Ability to work independently
  • Be able to travel as needed
  • Able to work Monday through Friday / 40 hour work weeks, must be flexible for overtime and night work.

Preferred Skills:

  • NICET Certification preferred (we can assist you in attaining these certifications).
  • Current IBEW member working under the Minnesota Limited Energy Agreement.
  • Valid MN Power Limited Technician (PLT) license.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be physically fit to endure the daily activity involved with the job
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
