Pricing Strategy Analyst (Project Management)



Responsibilities

  • Pricing Strategy Development
    • Examine market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to inform pricing decisions. 
    • Develop business rules to support global pricing over multiple ERP's.
    • Develop and maintain pricing models for new and existing parts.
    • Develop product segmentation to creating pricing models which are cohesive across regions.
    • Support strategic pricing initiatives for product launches, promotions, inventory sell offs; etc.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Monitor pricing performance and profitability across product categories.
    • Create dashboards and reports to track pricing KPIs and identify margin improvement opportunities.
    • Conduct elasticity and sensitivity analyses to evaluate pricing impact.
    • Track various methods of lost sales as an input for pricing opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Aftermarket sales and marketing; and purchasing and commodity teams to align pricing with value propositions and market positioning.
    • Partner with Finance to assess cost structures and ensure pricing supports financial goals.
    • Liaise with Supply Chain to understand cost fluctuations and their impact on pricing.
    • Work in a collaborative mode with other pricing specialists to ensure global cohesion, pricing consistency and competitive pricing.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Ensure pricing policies and procedures are consistently applied across markets.
    • Support internal and external audits and compliance with pricing regulations, and gross margin checks.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable pricing strategies.
  • Proficiency in pricing tools, ERP systems (preferably multi-ERP environments), and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Solid understanding of market dynamics, customer segmentation, and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Ability to develop and implement business rules and pricing models across global markets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey pricing insights to cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance in pricing governance.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and be conversant with MS Access, MS Excel, Power BI, experience with SAP / InforLN an advantage

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in pricing strategy, financial analysis, or related roles, preferably in a global or multi-ERP environment.
  •  Demonstrated success in developing and implementing pricing models and strategies.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and audit processes related to pricing and gross margins.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of construction equipment market dynamics and dealer/distributor networks.
  • Familiarity with cost-plus, value-based, and competitive pricing methodologies.
  • Experience with global pricing strategies and currency considerations.
  • Experience in aftermarket, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones
  • Occasional lifting of office materials or equipment up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings across time zones, which may require flexible scheduling.

Health and Safety: 

  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and company-specific safety protocols related to crane manufacturing and operations.
  • Conduct Safety Inspections: Perform regular inspections of cranes, hoisting equipment, and manufacturing tools to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Promote Safety Culture: Foster a proactive safety culture by encouraging hazard reporting, participating in safety meetings, and reinforcing safe work practices.
  • Participate in Training: Attend and contribute to safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and emergency preparedness drills.
  • Incident Reporting: Promptly report and assist in the investigation of any workplace incidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions.
  • Use of PPE: Consistently wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
  • Support Ergonomics and Safe Lifting: Follow proper lifting techniques and use mechanical aids when handling heavy components.
  • Collaborate with Safety Officers: Work closely with the Health & Safety Officer and Crane Safety Officer to ensure all safety measures are implemented and maintained.

Work Environment: 

  • Normal office environment. Possibility of exposure to production facilities
  • On-Site – Can be located in Wisconsin if needed

Travel Required: (Percentage 0-100)             International & Domestic  5%
