Wealth Management - Control Testing Associate Specialist (Finance)
This role primarily focuses on performing independent quality assurance testing and support for regulatory compliance changes impacting WM business units. This individual will also support the WM Control Team efforts to proactively identify risks and address control gaps or weaknesses in the control environment across all WM business units.
Responsibilities
Under direction from the WM Control Monitoring & Testing Manager:
•
•Create/Update/Review testing plans in support of performing quality assurance testing of controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
•Execute quality assurance reviews/testing
•Document and report any gaps arising from reviews/testing and propose remediation plan
•Perform ongoing monitoring and testing of business processes to assess operational readiness activities for controls, procedures and assurance criteria
•Collaborate with business partners to address and remediate any gaps and identified risks
•Review rules inventory and additional regulatory details performing design review and assurance of BAU operating model
•Plan, schedule and monitor quality assurance activities in support of Regulatory Change Framework deliverables, goals and milestones
•Maintain clear communication and work closely with the Business Units and Regulatory Oversight and Delivery Consultant regarding regulatory compliance changes
•Analyze relevant data and information to provide insights and recommendations
Knowledge & Skills
•Multi-disciplinary functional experience with a focus on proactive activities within the business, risk, or operations group
•Ability to effectively manage and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently while maintaining a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
•Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
•Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
•Research and interrogative ability
•Proficient at synthesizing and organizing information
•Highly flexible and adaptable to change
•Ability to get up to speed quickly on new or unfamiliar subject matter
•Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations
•Demonstrated ability to work well in both an individual contributor and team capacity
Requirements
•At least 5 years of experience working in risk, control, audit or related function at a large financial institution
•An undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Risk, and/or other relevant field is highly preferred
•Wealth Management experience a plus
•Advanced skills with MS Office Suite a plus
