Human Resources - Learning & Development Leader (Project Management)

If you are a Human Resources Professional and are looking for an opportunity to grow as a Learning & Development Leader, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Shakopee, MN location, you will deliver programs, processes and tools for continuously enhancing the capabilities of our people and leaders.  Responsibilities range from planning and delivering learning & development content to facilitation of key global compliance processes.  This role will partner with Human Resource Business Partners to act as a learning consultant by recommending custom solutions to unique business challenges.  This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and will partner with the Director to provide support to core leadership programs and other leadership initiatives.
 

AS THE LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT LEADER, YOU WILL: 

  • Be responsible for designing and facilitating professional and leadership development offerings for the Twin Cities campus
  • Navigate and become a subject matter expert within the learning management system
  • Enhance learner's knowledge of key topics through facilitation of course content
  • Oversee tuition reimbursement programs including administration of benefits
  • Facilitate Korn Ferry 360's and provide coaching to include action plan development
  • Develop and execute on project plans for events such as the employee opinion survey, advanced leadership programs, and the annual scholarship process
  • Oversee global compliance activities such as ethics log, ethics training & annual conflict of interest questionnaire
  • Participate in reviewing annual communication plans including being on the planning committee for the Twin Cities campus All Employee Meetings
  • Partner with other Learning & Development Leaders within North America sites to deliver consistent learning programs
WHO YOU ARE:
You identify and seize new opportunities.  You adjust communication to fit the audience and the message.  You ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations.  You break down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • Five (5) or more years of related experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position
 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  
  • Will be asked to obtain DDI and Korn Ferry certifications if not currently held
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • SHRM or other certification
