Job Description
Primary Function of Position

The Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting is responsible for overseeing external financial reporting processes to ensure high-quality financial disclosures. This role involves regular interaction with executive management and partnership with various departments across the company, providing broad exposure to business operations and helping career development. The position requires partnering with leadership to foster an environment that promotes excellence and career growth.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive and manage the preparation, review, and filing of quarterly and annual SEC reports (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statement, etc.) ensuring compliance with SEC rules and regulations and US GAAP.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information for accurate and timely disclosures.
  • Manage the SEC reporting calendar and workflow to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Run discussions and meetings with finance leadership using exceptional communication skills.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and oversee aspects of the close process, including share-based compensation accounting.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior team members and other stakeholders on SEC reporting and disclosure requirements.
  • Monitor changes in SEC regulations, accounting standards, and industry trends; recommend process improvements and updates to disclosures accordingly.
  • Help team career development and strategic goal setting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline SEC reporting processes.
  • Review and oversee government reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in public accounting or related industry
  • Proven knowledge of SEC regulations, US GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience preparing SEC reports and knowledge of XBRL tagging.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex financial information to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent statistical and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
  • Dedicated attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • This role requires working onsite in our Sunnyvale, CA office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week.

Required Education and Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Wdesk highly preferred.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $168,000 USD - $252,000 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $142,800 USD - $214,200 USD
Shift: Day
Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader. Apply
