Manager, Member Recruitment (East Region, South District) (Finance)



Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Member Recruitment provides leadership for the public-facing Account Manager and Member Recruitment Coordinator team in their assigned regional district. They are responsible for enabling each Account Manager to achieve their member recruitment objectives through lead generation and conversion, leveraging strategic partnerships, account retention initiatives, and implementing strategies and tactics to achieve sustainable results year-over-year. They also guide day-to-day recruitment operations and event execution through each Member Recruitment Coordinator.

This position works with multiple internal partners, including Programs & Partnerships, Marketing, and Member Engagement & Experience. They are tasked with positioning the NMDP mission for optimal access across a variety of territories and account types, developing an understanding of each local market within their region. They lead initiatives on a regional scale that promote efficiency, provide superior service to external partners and volunteers, and result in educated, committed, and responsive donors.

This role will work collaboratively with a regional leadership team to accomplish monthly, quarterly, and annual registry enrollment goals.Responsibilities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to:
  • Manage performance of direct reports through coaching according to key performance indicators.
  • Guide high-level strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving for a diverse portfolio of territories and accounts.
  • Demonstrate a consultative, results-driven approach to business development and retention, grounded in how the customer thinks and makes decisions.
  • Navigate college and university systems, such as athletics, diverse affinity groups, student government, Greeks, etc.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication.
  • Be self-motivated and sustain a results-driven mindset.
  • Make data-driven decisions and leverage insights to strategically build an effective registry.
  • Effectively convey complex concepts to foster understanding and alignment when spear-heading process improvements and managing implementation of Director- and Executive-led initiatives.
  • Use effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Lead through change, resolve conflict and maintain alignment with Member Recruitment and organizational goals.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of formal education and experience. On evaluation, equivalent experience and/or education related to the minimum experience requirement may be substituted for the degree.
  • 2+ years of experience leading full-time employees
  • 3+ years of experience in business operations leadership
  • Minimum 5 years subject matter expertise in strategic sales leadership.
  • Experience in community engagement and account cultivation with a focus on retention where defined goals or targets are required.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously; ability to prioritize rigorously to best serve key initiatives.
  • Expert use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce, and the Internet required.
  • Proficient use of reporting and project management tools such as Looker and Asana required.
  • Experience as a marrow or PBSC donor or a direct connection to the mission is a plus.

Travel:
  • Must be willing to travel within region as needed (~25%), occasionally working evenings/weekends. Occasional national travel, 2-3 trips per year.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
