Compliance Analyst (Finance)



This position is needed to make certain that all incidents/claims/work orders are being recorded daily, electronically and physically, in a timely manner and so that none are overlooked. Furthermore, accidents are prevented by the testing and training of CWD staff regarding drug use and safe practices. The position will contribute to a smooth process and safe environment.

The Safety Analyst Tech will need to be diligent in reviewing and updating the accident and injury information, including costs. Furthermore, the Tech will need to be decisive when entering the information as well as coding it correctly. The work orders the Tech will be processing will originate from completed projects with costs and description. Based on the information they will be entering the Tech will generate monthly reports for use by the Safety/Risk Manager and senior management. He or she will be in constant communication with other members of the Safety Department and HR, primarily the Safety/Risk Manager. Part of this communication will be so the Safety Analyst Tech can be cross trained in other duties within the department. There will also be weekly or monthly interactions with other CWD employees who are undergoing testing or training.

Hours: Work schedule is predominantly Monday-Friday, during regular business hours. Candidates should be prepared for infrequent evening commitments and limited overnight travel

Wage: $19-$20, depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Entering the details of Injuries, Claims, and Damages into the management software, and following up
  • Tracking and maintaining Work Orders and their costs
  • Tracking the costs of Injuries, Claims, and Damages
  • Work on reports for the Injuries, Claims, and Damages and Work Orders
  • Providing pre-employment drug testing and training for warehouse CWD employees according to what is required by SAMHSA and state/federal laws
  • Temporarily covering certain duties for other safety dept. members
  • Maintaining warehouse OSHA General Industry rules
  • Drug testing for non-DOT & DOT personnel

Qualifications:

  • Experienced and comfortable with basic computer functions
  • Able to organize and investigate records and reports
  • Skilled at communicating clearly
  • Willing to learn new skills
  • Capable of dealing with conflict
  • Have some background in Excel

Training that will be provided includes:

  • Use of the management software
  • Warehouse employee drug testing
  • OSHA Regulations/DOT Requirements that have to do with the position's responsibilities
  • Functions of the Safety Department
  • How to use work Comp. coding
  • Rules and Laws that apply to Risk and Safety Management
  • Further skills in Excel
