Junior Developer Associate - Government Services (Education)



PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Eagerly pursue new technologies to expand offerings to programs and clients
  • Suggest and implement technology and process improvements from your skillset
  • Build, support, and enhance applications across the Government Services practice group
  • Comfortable with COTS systems as well as ground-up builds
  • Quickly adapt to change requests from programs and clients
  • Serve as the technical liaison among different functional groups
  • Assist in data modeling activities to support reports and BI resources
  • Ensure that development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve system issues

Education/Experience Required:

  • 1+ years SDLC experience
  • 1+ years of OOP experience
  • Experience with React, Angular, Typescript, Bootstrap, etc.
  • Experience with Java, C#, Python, Ruby, etc.
  • Experience with JUnit, xUnit, etc. (whatever unit test your preferred language is in)
  • Experience with code quality and gates such as SonarQube
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL and interact with various DBs given the need (no DBA work)

Education/Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or Associates Degree + equivalent work experience
  • Cloud application development
  • Power BI, Looker, or other business intelligence tools

  • Ability to work seamlessly with distributed teams
  • Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
