Job Summary:
You will manage the overall leadership and strategic direction of the Sixth District's supplier diversity strategy, process and projects. Reporting to the officer, you will oversee policy development and implementation of internal and external processes directed toward ensuring the successful execution of the Bank's supplier diversity program. This also includes developing strategic relationships and consulting with business leaders to understand procurement needs and bridging the gap between supplier and departments. Design, implement, manage, coordinate, and provide strategic direction for a District-wide program to promote the Bank's involvement in the economic development of diverse suppliers. Develop a network of external businesses, organizations, industry professionals and business leaders. Represent the Bank at conferences, meetings, and events focused on diverse suppliers. Partner with the Office of Minority Women and Inclusion (OMWI) office to monitor the District's activity and to develop matrices to help in reporting to Congress. You will report to the AVP, Financial Management & Planning (FM&P).
Responsibilities:
• Increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency by establishing goals, metrics and timelines with internal stakeholders. Mitigate risk by ensuring organizational processes and procedures that achieve Supplier Diversity Strategy. Influence and motivate partners by depicting the value and linkage to their business plan goals and objectives.
• Create a District wide contracting and purchasing strategy to ensure diverse businesses have the opportunity to compete. Provide strategic recommendations, along with specific actions, to Bank leaders to increase opportunities for diverse suppliers.
• Design, implement and manage a District-wide supplier diversity program to achieve the contracting and purchasing strategy for equal opportunity for diverse suppliers in the District's daily and strategic procurement activities. Develop performance measures to reflect District goals, drawing on industry best practices, and develop a regular reporting framework for the program. Monitor purchasing and contract activity District-wide and report progress to senior leadership team.
• Partner with the OMWI office in setting goals, planning and developing the Sixth District's programs, and monitoring activity to support procurement diversity activity and to ensure compliance with the Dodd-Frank Act.
• Identify diverse businesses from traditional and non-traditional areas to bid on opportunities that have been identified. Maintain listing of diverse businesses that wish to be considered for opportunities and share information on those suppliers with the appropriate business leaders within the District and the Federal Reserve System (FRS).
• Manage Tier II prime partner relationships to include training, accountability, goal setting and implementation of supplier diversity subcontracting strategies in major contracting areas; provide Tier II reporting, as requested.
• Be a primary contact for Supplier Diversity concerns with Bank departments, suppliers, industry organizations, and FRS counterparts. Network with other inclusiveness/diversity professionals in Atlanta and other regions to stay informed about leading best practices and benchmark progress for supplier diversity efforts. Develop and present education/information seminars to District audiences and diverse suppliers regarding the Bank's procurement practices and opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: Eight or more years preferred
