With minimal supervision, the Research Coordinator II will work independently to manage investigator-initiated research projects. This includes general study administration, proposal budget, protocol review and implementation, human subjects approvals, conducting research, and project closeout. The Research Coordinator II will be responsible for accurate and timely source documents, data collection, documentation, entry, and reporting, including timely response to sponsor queries. Accountable for compiling and reporting on each study, including information related to protocol activity, accrual data, workload, and other research information. In addition, the Research Coordinator II will coordinate with team members to screen and recruit study participants and assist in developing grant proposals.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Certification/Skills:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
Two (2) years of relevant experience. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
