Senior Business Systems Analyst - Accounting Systems (Information Technology)

The Accounting Systems team is looking for a detail-oriented, highly analytical Senior Business Systems Analyst to join a collaborative team focused on enhancing existing production systems as well as new solutions addressing manual business processes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of business systems analyst experience, demonstrate servant leadership qualities, and possess a desire to continuously learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and document requirements through workshops, interviews, and refinement sessions using SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Communicate effectively with management, peers, vendors, and customers through writing, verbal communication, and presentations
  • Develop and manage project plans, estimates, and implementation strategies to ensure timely delivery
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to design scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Engage stakeholders and executives to communicate product vision, progress, risks, and ensure alignment with strategic goals
  • Define and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards
  • Provide subject matter expertise and operational support for assigned systems, leading issue resolution and continuous improvement efforts
  • Identify and drive process improvements and innovation opportunities by researching industry trends and analyzing business needs
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in business systems analysis
  • 3+ years in enterprise application environments
  • Proven leadership in IT project management, including planning and executing large-scale projects
  • Expertise in translating business needs into technical requirements and improving business processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for executives and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Skilled in data analysis tools like SQL, Excel, or BI platforms
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
 
  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, including at least 3 years in enterprise application environments
  • 5+ years of business systems analysis experience supporting client-facing applications
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Prior hands-on development experience, including having worked directly with databases and data-driven applications
  • Proficient in SQL, including writing complex queries, data manipulation, and troubleshooting database issues
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams to design, implement, and optimize data processes
