Role Summary:
The Software Engineer Manager leads, manages, and develops the Centauri Software Engineering function. Centauri's Software Engineering includes Enterprise and Solution Architecture, Application Development, Database Development, and Systems Development (middleware, services, etc.) across multiple technologies and platforms. The Software Engineer manager is primarily focused on team and resource development, ensuring teams and individuals perform at the highest level, adhere to all Centauri technology standards and best practices, possess all relevant skills and experience required to meet technology delivery requirements, and possess required soft skills to contribute to a cohesive team. The role includes developing deep understanding about Centauri's multiple service lines and associated development roadmaps and working closely with technology delivery teams and business partners to ensure software engineering resources are optimally resourced, trained, and managed. Similarly, the role includes developing deep understanding of Software Engineering team members' desired career paths, skills, strengths, weaknesses, and experience and developing creating development programs to ensure highest performance.
