Dealer Account Manager (Marketing)

Position:  Dealer Account Manager

Location:  Atlanta, GA

Summary:

The Dealer Account Manager is responsible for managing relations between dealer and production facility. The Dealer Account Manager will develop and implement training, support, and manage a national dealer network. The Dealer Account Manager works closely with current dealers, prospective dealers, and internal support resources to maintain a smooth working relationship between dealers and operations. Requires approximately 50% travel.

 Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain outstanding dealer relations by being the primary point of contact and providing support necessary to build long-term trust in the relationship.
  • Improve dealer relations by deploying the necessary internal resources to resolve whatever issues arise.
  • Measures and reports on dealer's performance.
  • Understand and communicate scheduling issues with appropriate dealers.
  • Supporting estimating and proposal requirements, when necessary, to support dealers.
  • Manages time and travel schedule to provide the most efficient and effective productivity while managing expenses.
  • Participates with dealers to assist in originating, formulating, and implementing sales programs, advertising programs, incentives, marketing plans, and objectives.
  • Identifies new product opportunities and summarizes benefits of pursuing these stated opportunities.
  • Maintains open communications with inside support team in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Provides channel feedback to Wahoo/Meeco Sullivan leadership regarding product performance, marketing initiative acceptance and competitive intelligence gathering.
  • Trains dealer's sales personnel to improve product knowledge and the appropriate means to sell product features and benefits from a value-based platform.
  • Recommends the addition or elimination of dealers, as appropriate, based on sales performance, profitability, and company objectives.
  • Coordinates requests for price quotes, and services with appropriate support teams.
  • Complies with requests to submit reports in a timely manner.
  • Work with Meeco Sullivan's national sales team as required to maximize positive interaction with dealer network on commercial opportunities.
  • Develop an understanding of Wahoo products and dock anatomy to provide educated answers to dealer questions.
  • Review and present requests for new territories and territory expansions.
  • Ensure dealers follow up on all leads and quote requests.

 Job Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 Years of Customer Service Experience
  • Technical Products Sales, Engineered Products Sales and/or Capital Equipment Sales Experience
  • BS Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Management preferred. However, a B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline may be considered provided a strong business acumen can be demonstrated.
  • Ability to travel nationally 50% of the time
  • New Dealer Evaluation / Development / Management / Cancellation Experience
  • Training Seminar Skills and Experience
  • Negotiating Skills
  • Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills& Presentation Skills
  • Working Collaboratively with Plant Personnel:  Application Engineers, Inside Sales, Marketing, Executive Leadership
  • Excellent Computer Skills: Word / Excel / PowerPoint
