Maintenance Welder Technician (Finance)



We are excited to welcome a Maintenance Welder (internally known as an Electro-Mechanic) to our York, PA team! Join us in our mission to rid the world of rubber waste!

Hours: 10-hour shift required on Saturdays; Remainder of schedule is flexible and could include 4 ten-hour shifts or 3 twelve-hour shifts

Pay Range: $27-$32/hr, based on experience

Summary: Using a variety of welding and torching equipment, the Welder Maintenance Tech will focus on welding activities that support maintenance and engineering efforts. This position will assist with maintenance activities when welding projects are not available, including minor repairs, painting, and preventative maintenance.

The Impact You'll Make:

  • Conduct weekly, routine preventative and repair welding on specified units
  • Perform plant-level and engineering welding projects as assigned
  • Assist with preventative and corrective maintenance on all equipment
  • Maintain and repair physical structures of buildings and grounds, including snow removal, basic plumbing, HVAC, and basic carpentry
  • Assist with the installation and upgrades of equipment

Essential Experiences

  • Welding certification; or apprenticeship in Electromechanical Maintenance; or High School Diploma/GED and equivalent experience
  • 3+ years welding experience; "Master Welder" level preferred
  • 1+ years' experience with electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; Basic mechanical and technical skills
  • Must be able to read blueprints and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team
