Inventory Control Coordinator: Days -New Berlin (Manufacturing)



The Inventory Coordinator will serve as a key warehouse resource to ensure effective material movement and inventory control.

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Participate in the determination of layout and organization of designated storage areas and develop processes to monitor material movements from raw receipt to production cells and the loading of finished goods to effectively support production.
  • Assist in developing a Radius inventory control program that will be reviewed annually and ensure the tracing, labeling and disposition of finished goods and raw materials for food safety.
  • Responsible for dispositioning of all non-conforming raw material including tracking weights, source lines, type of material, quality of material and lot tracking.
  • Report out MRB, shift output and material efficiency.
  • Perform cycle counts and discrepancy reviews based on the Radius inventory control methodology. Provide active leadership in year-end physical inventory activities.
  • Investigate, correct, and publish root cause on inventory variances to minimize inventory write-offs and ensure that members are aware of and following the accurate processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate the transfer of raw materials to support production from all Radius warehouses and support 3rd party warehouses with inventory processes and expectations.
  • Utilize visual management and Kanban systems to standardize processes. Use data and lean tools to improve or develop processes related to inventory control.
  • Participate in and support continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization. Sustain 6S program, supporting team members and reporting repeat variation to leadership.
  • Work safely, following all safety policies and proactively participating in the safe work of others and the safety of the overall environment.
  • Perform other miscellaneous support work to enable the team to be successful and as requested by warehouse leadership.

How do our shifts work? Full time statusĀ 

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00AM -2:00PM

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):

  • High School diploma or equivalent reading, writing, basic math, and critical thinking skills.
  • 3+ years of previous work experience in a warehouse or production distribution environment and experience with cycle count programs and Kanban systems is required.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a warehouse and inventory ERP system, such as IQMS, SAP or Oracle.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures and the financial impact of inventory transactions.
  • Previous material handling equipment (fork-lift) experience.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated project management, analytical and logic abilities to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Exhibit excellent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with little supervision.
  • Familiarity with basic business computer applications and mobile device applications.
  • Must be able to read and write in English to accurately identify packing information, develop instructions, and understand Quality documentation.
