Graphic Designer Part-time (1099) (Creative Design)
Management Concepts is seekng a contract Part-time 3-4 months (25-30 hrs a week) Graphic Designer who will be responsible for the design and execution of materials that promote the Management Concepts brand. Assignments include a broad spectrum of multimedia, digital, and print projects that position Management Concepts as a marketplace leader to current and prospective customers. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated proficiency in both print and digital design. This position will report to the Sr. Creative Services Manager/Web Designer and will primarily support the Learning and Development organization.
The Graphic Designer will be:
An innovative thinker, highly motivated with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Able to conceptualize and execute a creative vision effectively under tight deadlines
Skilled at project management and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
Current with the latest multimedia, web, print, and consumer design trends
Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite
Interpret and translate business and functional requirements into cohesive, creative solutions with strong visual designs
The Graphic Designer will develop creative solutions and visual concepts to communicate Management Concepts brand, through channels such as:
Course and curriculum development materials
Proposal support graphics
Digital and interactive media
Sales collateral
Email designs
Print advertising
Tradeshow graphics
Websites and landing page graphics
Direct mail
Point of purchase materials
Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree with a concentration in graphic design, visual communications, or fine arts
At least 3 years of design experience in an in-house creative department or agency
Knowledge of electronic design and related design tools
Knowledge of traditional and digital printing processes and strong typography skills
Ability to plan, organize, identify problems and correct design issues under tight deadlines
Ability to quickly develop and/or interpret a creative idea into a design execution
Manage design projects from initial concept to final production
Ability to pay attention to detail with sound grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
Demonstrated independent creative thinking and excellent follow through
Analyze what design approach best suits the needs of a particular project
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment where priorities may change
Adapt work schedule to best fit business needs.
