Associate Specialist IT Quality Assurance (Finance)
Banking Products: Flexcube / Finacle/ LME/ GPP/MTS/ Polaris Intellect
Payment System: CHAPS, SEPA, CREST, RITS, AustraClear, FEDwire etc
Responsibilities:
• Ensures comprehensive test planning and execution from unit testing through UAT to Production Verification
• For new demand, conduct impact analysis and estimation to identify the application portfolio affected, testing services required, testing needed and effort to be budgeted
•Test case execution, reporting and manage defect management process
•Prepare or support in preparation of daily and weekly status report
•Thought leadership, consultation, mentoring & guidance on testing practices within team
•Advance product quality via testing innovations and process improvement
•Collaborate with BAs, Architects & Developers in designing test cases
•Provide support for implementing program test strategies
•Utilize analytical skills in determining the root cause of defects & issues
•Influence and communicate effectively with both technical & non-technical teams
•Accelerate test development process by leveraging existing assets, standards & best practices
• Develop E2E program test strategy encompassing Unit, Functional System Testing, System Integration Testing, UAT and Production Verification Testing, and obtain required approvals
• Ensure Quality delivery of testing services, including planning / budgeting, reporting, resource management, and testing standardization
• Oversees execution of all levels of testing, including coordination with SQM, Technology and Business to ensure adherence to test strategy, verification and sign-off, and defect management activities
• Coordination of the overall testing infrastructure including test data and test environments
• Coordinate with Configuration Quality Management teams on testing dependencies and timelines
• Coordinate with project managers to collect aggregated test results and utilize metrics to assess and improve software quality
• Serve as escalation point for testing issues
• Ability to work across multiple application and business areas
•BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology or equivalent
•10-12 years of Core testing experience in the I.T. Industry.
•4+ years of experience on leading team/ or modules
•4 + years of Banking Area/Core Banking testing experience
•3+ years of experience working on Custody CASH or Payments domain
•3+ years of experience in working with databases ( Oracle DB preferred)
•2+ years of experience on working with Messaging based payments system
Required Skills:
•Excellent knowledge of SDLC and Agile development practices ( experience with SAFe preferred)
•Experience in using Jira, ALM, Zephyr, Azure Devops and modern test delivery tools
•Hands on knowledge on any of the banking products - Flexcube, LME, Finacle, GPP, MTS
•Proficient in SQL and exposure to MQ based applications
•Exposure to Devops /CICD
•Expert in QA process, techniques & méthodologies
•Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
•Both attention to detail & ability to rise above details to see broader implications & recommend strategic solutions
•Experience in coordinating test environments and test data for project execution
•Ability to work independently and with a team
•Proven interpersonal and communication skills with technical & business partners
Preferred/ Recommended Skills:
•Leading small/medium sized test management programs
•Familiarity with Banking/Financial products
•Experience with SWIFT standards and payments platforms
•Working experience with High value and low value payments systems such as RTGS, SEPA, CHAPS, AustraClear, RITS etc
