Ø Administer facility safety program, monitor and evaluate processes, develop and implement recommendations and provide training for all employees. Provide daily technical safety and environmental support to facility operations.
Will be responsible for facility level oversight of permits and maintaining regulatory compliance with safety procedures and policies associated with federal, state, local and Company requirements.
Ø Perform audits and inspections as required
Ø Investigate, analyse and suggest/implement corrective actions when accidents occur
Ø Ensure compliance with federal, state laws and regulations
Ø Ensure compliance with corporate safety rules, regulations and standard
Ø Provide and/or coordinate required employee safety training
Ø Perform required administrative tasks, complete forms and documents as required
Ø Perform other tasks as required
Ø Accomplish facility inspections, field checks and monitoring to track compliance.
Ø Develop and maintain record filing to allow its accurate and timely retrieval.
Ø Lead and/or assist in the development and implementation of site specific environmental and safety programs and procedures.
Ø Conduct facility compliance training.
Ø Serve as facility in facility audits and agency inspections.
Ø Serve as a facility technical resource in meetings and committees.
Ø Effectively communicate and coordinate activities with Terminal Manager, as well as Regional EHS Manager to provide the progress and ensure the completion environmental and safety tasks.
Ø Assist in emergency planning and preparation, including the scheduling and conducting of drills and exercises.
Ø Must be accountable and take direction from Terminal Manager, keep required work schedules and focus attention on details.
Ø Perform any duty as assigned by Terminal Manager.
Ability to accept supervision/direction and work effectively with other people Position Requirements
Ø High School degree or equivalent is required.
Associates degree or college level coursework is strongly preferred.
Ø A minimum of 3 years of previous successful work experience in an operational environment is required.
Ø Safety compliance/ environmental permit experience is a plus.
