Store Supplies Sales Consultant - Pompano Beach, FL (Marketing)

Job Overview: 

This position is responsible for the coordination of Supply sales activities within an assigned sales territory to ensure ongoing sales growth with UNFI customers. This role will be responsible for monitoring competitive activity and communicating with the Merchandising team any market activity which may influence sales. Additionally, acts as the Supply expert on topics as it relates to Sales. Responsible for representing and offering services to retailers responsible for the Store Supply Department.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

• Plans how to establish and maintain major account relationships and meet personal sales targets for the full line of Supply products.
• Develops business plan for each account including maintenance and growth plans.
• Develops strong client relationships over time that provides significant input to planning company product, price, and service strategies.
• Solicits new business opportunities in the designated territory.
• Supports supervisor and other sales professional in developing new business.
• Reviewing Store Supply programs with retailers as needed.
• Assists manager in identifying consumer and category opportunities.
• Assists sales leadership in conducting annual business reviews, specific to the Supply categories.
• Manages and participates in customer sales meetings/calls as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience and training
• 3+ years of related experience
• Proficient in sales strategies and techniques.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Thorough understanding of Company products, services, and competitor's product lines.
• Organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines a requirement for navigating ambiguous or newly emerging issues and setting direction.
• Ability to travel throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Collier counties.
