Manager, Design and Environments (Information Technology)



The Manager of Design and Environments at CARTI will lead and manage the planning, design, and execution of both interior and exterior projects to create functional, aesthetically pleasing, and healing environments for our patients. This position requires a unique blend of creative design expertise, healthcare environment knowledge, and project management skills to oversee the development of spaces that enhance the patient experience

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the design and execution of both interior spaces and landscaping projects in alignment with CARTI's standards and healthcare regulations.Collaborate with architects, clinical teams, and a multitude of external vendors to ensure spaces meet functional, aesthetic, and patient needs.Manage the full project lifecycle, including design and procurement, while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.Oversee landscape design initiatives, including site preparation, grading, planting, and installation of landscaping features.Utilize design software (such as Revit, Autodesk Maya, SketchUp, or ArchiCAD) to develop and present detailed plans and project proposals.Coordinate with external consultants for effective project delivery.Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to design.Track project progress, manage timelines, and communicate updates to leadership regarding project status.Work closely with leadership to develop budgets, track project expenditure, and handle procurement of certain materials and services.Develop and maintain a comprehensive project portfolio, documenting all phases from inception to completion.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:
Bachelor's degree required in design, planning, architecture, or a related field.2 years of experience required; 2 or more years of related experience preferred in interior design, healthcare environments, and project management.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
In-depth understanding of healthcare design standards, landscape design principles, and project management practices.Demonstrated ability to present and communicate effectively to groups and stakeholders.Proficiency in design software such as Revit, Autodesk Maya, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, or comparable programs.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).In-depth understanding of healthcare design standards, landscape design principles, and project management practices.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form.Ability to contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must and interact communicate both verbally and in written form.Must interact and exchange information frequently.
