Wealth Management - Operational Resiliency Associate Specialist (Finance)
This role is responsible for supporting the Wealth Management (WM) business unit in a coordinated effort with Enterprise Risk to strengthen, coordinate, and execute Operational Resiliency including but not limited to Third Party Management, Business Continuity, and Risk and Control Self-Assessments. This individual will be responsible for supporting the WM Control Team in developing, embedding and managing the frameworks, tools, and methodologies in line with regulatory requirements and enterprise policies and standards to both appropriately manage risk and enable the BU's financial objectives.
Responsibilities
Under direction from the WM Operational Resiliency Manager:
WM Operational Resiliency Program Implementation
•
•Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Program Owners and WM Control in defining and building out the function including roles and responsibilities of partners across the lines of defense to support the risk programs
•Develop/maintain strong long-term working relationships with key business decision makers, risk program owners and subject matter experts, and externally with peer groups and other key stakeholders
•Develop and manage operational processes, template reviews, and establish metrics (e.g., key risk indicators, key performance indicators (KPIs)) to monitor overall performance against agreed upon milestones, risk thresholds, service level agreements and/or other measurement criteria
•Develop and ensure adherence to a consistent governance process
•Understand, compile, manage, and lead communication of required information for supplier performance reviews on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis including profiles, reports and scorecards as necessary
•Perform recurring Resiliency Assessments to include the reporting and tracking of KPIs and sessions with business/matrix partners on a regular basis
•Provide support and help drive resolution for incident management, including root cause analysis and both tactical and strategic solutions
Risk Management & Compliance

•Maintain a close working relationship with process owners, including third-party suppliers, to help reduce risk; support regular performance management discussions for key areas to ensure that any issues are surfaced and can be mitigated before they become a problem
•Develop and participate in escalation processes for incident reporting and other key risks and support resolving incidents and challenges
•Support or develop periodic compliance assessments to mitigate risk associated with legislation or company standards
•Support other Enterprise Risk projects, programs, and initiatives as appropriate to maintain a strong control environment within the BU and to help ensure compliance with program or regulatory requirements
Resilience and Continuity

•Work closely with the business partners, risk, and compliance to ensure that WM is compliant with the regulatory expectations and policies, including maintaining dialogue with key partners and suppliers to allow the business to assess ongoing risks to supply/system outages and make alternative plans in a timely fashion if required
•Participate on teams to develop and execute strategies that increase savings & efficiency, gain productivity where possible, and reduce risk

•Must have strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Strong business acumen with proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization
•Highly flexible and adaptable to change
•Leadership and organizational skills are required to direct the activities for multiple units within WM
•Project Management skills
Requirements
•At least 8 years of demonstrated experience working with vendors/clients in other large financial institutions in a Risk, Resiliency, Third Party Management, or Audit position or relevant field
•An undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Risk, and/or other relevant field is highly preferred
•Wealth Management experience a plus
