PHDC, a non-profit organization funded primarily by the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is looking for a Roofing Inspector Supervisor (RIS).The person serving in the position shall be responsible for technical development and enforcement of roofing quality specifications, as well as the supervision of staff intended to aid in the enforcement of the same. It is expected that the RIS will continue to study current roofing technology and will provide useful information to the department, especially with respect to writing and refining agency specifications for the repair and replacement of roofs within its programs. The RIS will provide ongoing training to the staff under his or her supervision. Additionally, the RIS will provide technical support to other appropriate agency staff, as needed. The RIS will be responsible for all supervisory activities typical for one with subordinate staff. The RIS will manage contractor and client complaints, settle field disputes, as necessary, and shall be recognized as the agency point man for resolving technical field difficulties when those difficulties are related to roof work This position begins at the stated starting salary.
