Domestic Operations Agent I (Administrative)
Handles all aspects of customer service associated with the movement of freight.
High school education or equivalent and five years progressive work experience including 1-3 year's customer service; or a four year degree plus one year customer service experience. Business or logistics degree preferred.
Excellent telephone and written & verbal interpersonal skills to effectively present information in writing and in person in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate freight rates and amounts such percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics to calculate percentages, discounts, and freight rates, including the effect of dimensional weight.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in non-standardized situations, and able to solve unusual problems. Ability to develop alternative solutions.
Intermediate user of MS Office products
Good organizational skills
The employee is regularly required to handle a variety of office equipment, paperwork, and files; speak and listen with individuals or groups. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching; walk; sit; occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Full range of vision abilities are required by this job (close, distance, color, & peripheral vision; depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus); ability to work at PC for long hours. May be working in and around warehouse.
