PUBLIC AREA ATTENDANT (Finance)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Hotel public area attendant is responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and safety in all public areas of the hotel, restrooms, pool and fitness center. This position will assist in other housekeeping areas as directed. The public area employee will also be responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guest.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Applies excellent guest service skills when interacting with guest.
2. Cleans lobby, hallways, pool area, fitness center and restrooms in timely fashion. Assist with the cleaning of guest rooms as needed. Restocking of supplies as needed.
3. Clean elevators foyers, doors, floors and tracks.
4. Maintain cleanliness in back offices such as front desk and sales offices.
5. Responsible for the cleanliness of employee break rooms to include but not limited to beverage machine, microwave and refrigerator.
6. Perform deep cleaning tasks and project cleaning as directed.
7. Maintains proper documentation of all duties accomplished during a working shift, as directed.
8. Reports hotel facility problems related to structure, equipment, and plumbing to supervisor.
9. Follow safety guidelines with wet floor signs and blockage of lobby doors due to inclement weather.
10. Shampoo, extract and maintain carpeted areas to include but not limited to guest rooms and public space.
11. Assigned key must be signed in/out, secured and turned in upon completion of shift.
12. Respond within 15 minutes for guest requests; provide excellent guest service when responding to guests needs.
13. Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the pool and fitness center.
14. Make sure all guests have a wristband. Only 4 wristbands per a room
15. Clean and sanitize all fitness/pool equipment after usage
16. Clean and maintain pool deck, outside deck and fitness center floor daily
17. Maintain supply of clean towels for guest usage throughout the day
18. Transfer soiled towels to Housekeeping for laundering
19. Conduct daily tests of pool chemicals to ensure proper balance
20. Perform other housekeeping duties as directed.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of wet/humid conditions, the severity of which depends upon work volume. Incumbents are at times subjected to hazards such as chemicals.
*Ability to use all equipment associated with the position,
*Ability to effectively and efficiently move around public space as needed.
*Ability to communicate with hotel guest and comprehending special guest needs.
*This position is physical in nature and requires complete physical mobility, including but not limited to bending, carrying, climbing stairs, reaching and squatting. This position requires ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
