Log Yard Supervisor (Agriculture)

Responsibilities 

This position will be responsible for the direction and supervision of the three log yards that support our Kettle Falls/Arden mills.  Primary responsibilities will be the management of the day-to-day log yard activities, including but not limited to staffing, environmental compliance, inventory measurement and tracking, and log scaling oversight.

Qualifications 

Essential qualifications include demonstrated experience and skills working in a log yard or equivalent operation. Must have the ability to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's); provide on-going safety training to employees as well as holding crew safety meetings. Position requires excellent communication skills with the ability to set expectations, gain commitment, and coach for improved performance; must be able to work a flexible work schedule in a continuous improvement environment. Must have the ability to make difficult decisions, manage time effectively and communicate in a positive manner. Must understand responsibilities for environmental compliance and management. PC skills essential. Degree and/or supervisory experience preferred.
