Team Lead, Reconciliations (Finance)
The successful candidate has day-to-day management responsibilities for the Global Reconciliation team. This individual organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.
This leader must be able to engage partners and provide the guidance needed to create a high performing team. This individual will need to provide feedback to memebers of their team, but also be able to hear feedback from their team.
. Major Duties :
•Has day-to-day management responsibilities for the Global Reconciliation area; provides guidance to partners to help strengthen controls and mitigate risk
•Acts as the first point of escalation for risk and control related matters for the department
•Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact; delivers a work product that requires little revision
•May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
•Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
•May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)
•Conducts performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions
•Provides input and support to budget management process
Qualifications:
•A college or University Degree and/or some relevant background experience
•Experience in the Middle Office or Back Office Investment Operations coupled with Risk Management, Control and Compliance monitoring or auditing is preferred
•Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams
•Analytical and problem solving skills are required
•Proven experience communicating and consulting with stakeholders
•Ability to lead a team towards success and provide feedback as necessary
•Ability to prioritize assignments
