Tower Asset Specialist II - Project Based - Northeast and Mid Atlantic (Transportation)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring structural integrity and regulatory compliance for all assigned assets through photo and video collection.


• Read site plans and tower drawings.


• Perform periodic inspections in accordance with company policies, standards and procedures.  Identify and ensure that major inspection discrepancies are reported to management, corrected in a timely manner and that the field data they collect is entered into appropriate systems.


• Collect physical asset data in an efficient and cost-effective manner and follow standards related to getting this data into various databases. 


• Work effectively cross-functionally to identify and resolve compliance issues.  Respond quickly and effectively to resolve NOTAM, monitoring system issues in accordance with company established policies, standards and procedures.


• Comply with quality assurance programs as required.


• Keep Manager well informed regarding operational and maintenance issues associated with their assigned sites.  Maintain and communicate a site problems list within trouble ticketing system including the resolution plans for each.


• Occasional operation of drone/UAS


• Monitor and report material usage in order to maintain adequate truck supplies.


• Provide immediate support service during emergency issues and incident response situations.

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or GED required.




• Associates degree, two year technical degree or equivalent military/special electronics training experience strongly preferred




• Demonstrated understanding of computer basics.

 

 Language Skills

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and/ or governmental regulations




• Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence and memos.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, and volume.

 

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Valid Driver's License required
