About the Role
Provide oversight, management, and leadership for engineering projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Lead diverse teams within the organization, as well as external suppliers and contractors, to deliver projects and initiatives with excellence
Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead and support projects across the site, from feasibility to project completion.
Justify, prepare, execute, and deliver capital projects.
Apply proven project management principles to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and meet expected deliverables.
Design mechanical parts and assemblies as needed.
Provide mechanical expertise to support other functional areas within the site.
Generate technical requirement specifications for new equipment.
Lead and support a wide range of projects, including facilities, production, and support equipment.
Manage contractors in compliance with all Essity safety and environmental policies.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical engineering preferred).
Five years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
Minimum two years of project management experience.
SKILLS:
Proficient with drafting or 3D modelling software.
Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
Familiar with factory support systems (HVAC, compressors, heat exchangers, etc.).
Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
Ability to drive projects to completion
Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
TRAVEL / HOURS
Domestic and international travel may be required – 5%.
Occasional work outside of normal hours in order to deliver project deadlines
