Move Coordinator (Finance)
Perform booking coordination for our household goods contract and common carriage customers for interstate, intrastate and local moves. Booking and coordination will occur for either military or consumer shipments. Will work closely with Sales Team, transferees, and corporate account decision makers regarding relocation efforts.
Act as liaison to customers, (internal and external) while providing support and communication regarding expected move, arrival dates and times.
Collect and relay shipment information and detailed documentation. Must quickly distribute appropriate information to facilities.
Resolve issues as necessary and appropriately, realizing complex and sensitive nature of our business.
Reporting Structure
The Household Goods Move Coordinator will report directly to the Household Goods Move Coordinator Supervisor. This individual is also expected to interface with other management including the leaders of the different business divisions.
Essential Functions & Major Accountabilities
Assist clients and customers with service concerns during the move process. Will provide prompt responses to all in a highly professional manner while maintaining superior customer service.
Collect pre-move surveys as well as weights and pre-approvals, and update both software and the carrier.
Track shipments estimated time of arrival and delivery information, and update both software and the carrier.
Secure customer payment, including verification of payment method.
Serve as the liaison between the agents and customers to determine agreeable time for crews to pack, pickup or deliver customers shipment.
Interface with other personnel regarding pricing or service related matters.
Proactively communicate information to the customer from operations regarding their move, including pickup and delivery information.
Communicate any problems not rectified locally with the supervisor to ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate in performing quality assurance visits and communicate results of quality assurance visits back to the booker.
Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Accountabilities
Qualified individual must have demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task, especially during peak season when high volume exists.
Prior experience in the field is strongly preferred.
Excellent communication ability required with the expectation of timely responses to all involved in every customer account.
Efficient data entry skills, ensuring record accuracy.
Must be an analytical minded individual with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, support projects, and meet deadlines while keeping a solution focused mindset.
Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive projects to completion.
Must be a positive minded individual with proven problem solving ability in situations requiring quick resolution.
Excellent professional communication and demeanor required, including confidentiality measures.
Ability to learn quickly and be independently driven to exceed job standards.
Education/Experience Requirements
College preferred, will consider high school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years customer service experience required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through skills.
Excellent computer skills essential for success in this role. Must have advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products.
