Process Manager, SOX & US Export Compliance (Finance)

Description: Linde is seeking qualified applicants for our Process Manager, SOX & US Export Compliance role. Qualified candidates must demonstrate initiative in handling issues, be self-motivated, dependable, and work within a team environment. Responsibilities: - Lead the testing of internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley by gathering, analyzing, and documenting the processes over financial reporting, ensuring high-quality support. - Direct and monitor efforts across multiple business units to ensure SOX compliance requirements are met within required deadlines. - Proactively monitor changes in business, processes, and systems, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders. - Develop and conduct SOX compliance training for business process owners and employees, including updates on applicable changes. - Identify internal control deficiencies, ensure timely implementation of corrective actions, and communicate these to relevant stakeholders. - Advise management on improvement recommendations related to key controls. - Manage the creation and maintenance of the risk and control matrix in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act for multiple components in the Americas. - Oversee and provide guidance to business users of the SOX Performance Management Tool. - Oversee and execute additional special project requests from executive management to support the global SOX program. - Serve as the liaison with our external auditors to coordinate walkthroughs, follow up on inquiries, and provide audit support as requested (both SOX and substantive audits). - Oversee and manage the export compliance process and reporting for 9 US Export Hubs, including overseeing team members performing day-to-day export activities. - Directly manage day-to-day export compliance for 3 sub-business hubs. - Act as the business lead in the export compliance program internal audit every 2-3 years. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required - 4-6 years of experience in public accounting or internal audit, with a preference for experience with SOX walkthroughs and test of controls. - 3+ years of JD Edwards system experience preferred - Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach/mentor others - Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills across various audiences - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks and meet required deadlines - Demonstrated sense of urgency and accountability. - Ability to work cohesively with team members of various skill sets. - Ability to independently manage testing deadlines and escalate issues timely. - Willingness to work extended hours during key project times to meet deadlines.
