Offset Print Operator Assistant (2nd Shift) (Manufacturing)



Job Name: Offset Press Operator Assistant
Reports to: Operations Manager
Classification: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The Offset Press Operator Assistant will assist in the operation and maintenance of offset printing presses. This role involves ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the printing process.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

None
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist press operators in setting up and operating offset printing presses
Prepare materials and supplies needed for printing jobs.
Load paper and other materials into the press.
Monitor the printing process to ensure quality and consistency.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment.Help troubleshooting and resolve minor issues with the press.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Always follow safety protocols and procedures.Participate in training sessions to learn about offset printing techniques and equipment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Be able to perform work related math functions (which includes the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide)
Ability to read and write in English
Must be able to multi-taskGood verbal and written comprehension, with ability to receive and follow instructionsAbility to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision
Knowledge of the Metric system is a plus.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic understanding of printing processes is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to climb, kneel, bend, squatMust be able to grasp, push, pull and have fine motor skillsMust be able to stand for extended periods of time
