ZingNet Accounting Manager (Project Management)
Able to perform or supervise all accounting functions for the business including invoicing, printing checks, active management of A/R and A/P, assisting with payroll processing, inter-company transactions, financial reporting, and all other day-to-day functions
Perform month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries
Produce financial statements, internal reporting, and analytical commentary within established timeframes
Forecast P&L results on a weekly and/or monthly basis
Manage cash flow and forecast cash requirements over both short- and long-term
Provide insightful and supportive business counsel and financial analysis to ZSN's Leadership Team
Prepare special financial analyses and reports as requested
Quarterly and annual coordination with external accountants for tax filings and compilation
Completion of governmental reporting, including 1099s, sales tax returns, personal property tax returns, censuses
Primary business contact for managing insurance policies and related payments with external insurance broker
Lead annual planning (budgeting) process, work closely with ZSN's Leadership Team and other team members
Works proactively with others to prevent problems, resolve financial issues and encourage cooperation toward achieving organizational goals
Active, on-site presence at business (currently working mostly remotely due to Covid-19)
Understands the operational nature of the business
Attends, participates and sometimes leads weekly and monthly huddles with staff
Attends monthly huddles with Zingerman's Great Finance Group and complies with deadlines and procedures established by the group
Completes Training Passport within the stated timeframes and lives the Guiding Principles
Actively supports open-book management techniques and a finance culture throughout the business, collaborating with other Zingerman's businesses and accountants to promote common practices and standards whenever possible
Establishes and maintains good communication and positive working relationships throughout the Zingerman's Community of Businesses
Act as central clearinghouse for 20+ expense allocations throughout the ZCoB; create and maintain supporting documents for those expenses, including presentations to the Great Finance Group throughout the year on major components

Skills/Experience Needed for this Position
BA/BS or MBA in Accounting or finance
3-5 years of relevant professional experience
Experience with Sage (formerly Peachtree) a plus
Working knowledge of tax-related terminology and concepts; more advanced knowledge of tax rules and practices a plus
Food industry experience a plus
Planning and organization skills
Ability to analyze financial data and relate analysis to business operations
Exceptional customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Apps
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
