Continuous Improvement Manager (Construction)
Boise Cascade is seeking a hands-on Continuous Improvement Manager to guide the implementation and sustainability of the Boise Improvement Cycle (BIC), as well develop goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the Western Oregon region.
The position is responsible for mentoring and developing employees, managing projects, and playing a key role in sustaining a strong culture of continuous development. This position will lead and facilitate groups and teams in the areas of quality, operations, productivity, and cost using BIC methodologies and other improvement tools. The role provides the opportunity to work in collaboration with numerous departments and positively contribute to the overall company vision.
50% - Management and development of Industrial Engineers
30% - Identify and manage process improvement projects
20% - Collaborate with region and facility leadership on operational goals
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree required, preferably in Wood Products, Forestry, Business, Engineering, or another related field. A minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role including proven experience in effectively coaching, training, mentoring, and developing employees. The ability to coordinate and utilize project resources, communicate with stakeholders on multiple levels of organization and execute projects timely. A knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment, as well as an understanding of industrial costs and their control is preferred.
