Job Description:

Industrial Engineer - Newark, NJ

The IE will provide analysis and support for the Mars Wrigley Business under the direction of the Segment IE Manager to drive portfolio growth and effective cost agendas. The position will identify and evaluate financial opportunities and recommend solutions that will drive overall pipeline effectiveness and continuous improvement. The position will also drive timely implementation of these and other initiatives at plants and across segment production lines.

*This role is expected to be onsite in Newark twice a week

What we are looking for?

Minimum:

  • 4 years of related work experience (Operations Line Manager, Site Industrial Engineer, Project Engineer, Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Management)
  • An undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business Management, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering required, or significant equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

Preferred:

  • 5-7 years of related work experience (Operations Line Manager, Site Industrial Engineer, Project Engineer, Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Management)
  • MBA or advanced degree

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Segment Growth/Profit Strategy (1-5 Year Horizon) Identify and recommend methods to enable growth.
  • Capital Management. Author, submit and gain approval for capital investment projects related to capacity and/or innovation activities
  • Innovation Management: Develop, evaluate and recommend optimal supply solutions (feasibility and financial viability) for new market activities affecting the segment, in close cooperation with the site IE's. Monitor performance and execution of approved activities.
  • Coordinate with plants and supply planning to address short term supply risks
  • Provide Project Engineers with target line metrics for capital installations and assist plants in developing and monitoring project startup curves
  • Support site Master Plan 'Mobilize' and 'Create' activities
  • Provide input to Regional and Global Reports
  • In conjunction with Finance and Procurement, identify and contribute to the execution ofCOGS activities
  • Maintain tight and timely communication links to and from the plants
  • Recommend and implement tools to monitor and optimize supply performance

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all locations listed within the job posting:USD 107,071.00 - USD 147,223.00 Apply
