Recruitment Specialist (Human Resources)

The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for recruiting of all positions within the Company. This role within the HR department collaborates with hiring managers to source, recruit, and process the hiring of the most talented applicants for positions throughout the Company.

This position reports directly to the VP of Human Resources. This is an exempt position and is classified as Corporate Staff for vacation award purposes. This position is based in our corporate office located in Abingdon, Maryland.

About the role:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for recruitment of all positions
  • Coordinates with hiring managers to understand and meet the department needs
  • Posts open job requisitions on relevant online job boards to drive large, diverse candidate pools
  • Recruit and coordinate interviewing, references, background checks, offer letters and documentation for new hires
  • Maintain and update Applicant Tracking System
  • Perform Applicant Tracking System Manager trainings and orientations
  • Create and provide regular reporting on recruitment data such as days to fill, diversity, etc.
  • Participate in seasonal job fairs/career fairs, as needed
  • Maintains, updates, creates and manages all job descriptions
  • Develop and build relationships with colleges/universities and recruiters
  • Support DEI in all area of recruitment
  • Stay up to date on diversity trends and determine solutions to achieve diverse talent goals
  • Manage the LinkedIn Recruiter platform and utilize for recruitment efficiencies
  • Perform customer service functions by answering candidate and employee requests and questions
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with managers, employees and prospective job candidates
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

About you:

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred and a minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources with a focus on recruitment or 5 years direct HR and recruitment experience
  • HRIS experience preferred.
  • Competent in communication, decision-making, ethical practice, consultation, human resources, global and cultural awareness, and relationship management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent follow-up and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
