Location: NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA

Job Summary:
The Site Lead will oversee all environmental compliance and programmatic functions at NASA Langley. This role requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight across multiple environmental domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary environmental teams
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, NASA directives, and Executive Orders
  • Oversee environmental audits, inspections, and corrective actions
  • Coordinate with NASA stakeholders and regulatory agencies
  • Manage reporting, training, and documentation across all environmental programs
  • Maintain accountability for program outcomes and deliverables
Professional-Level Criteria:
  • Demonstrated autonomy in planning and decision-making
  • Deep analytical and interpretive work in environmental science
  • High-level interaction with internal and external stakeholders
  • Full responsibility for the accuracy and impact of work outcomes

Requirements

Minimum Qualification

  • Minimum a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in environmental or science/engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a direct supervisor of personnel.
  • At least 10 years of employment in the professional level of environmental work directly related to Environmental Compliance.
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
