Entry level role located in the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) department. Work may be performed as temporary team member. Train in pot building, booster and table maintenance. Work with and around hazardous process chemicals, and induction heating equipment. Requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as respirators, safety glasses, safety shoes, and proper gowning (when necessary).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
General Cleaning (Requires PPE)
Glassware Pot Cleaning
§ Clean dirty glassware, remove used tantalum from glassware.
§ Clean used tantalum and place back in the pot station.
§ Dry clean glassware and place back in the pot station.
Glassware Chamber Cleaning
§ Clean dirty chamber and dry and put back in the chamber station.
Booster Cleaning
§ Set up booster area with clean canisters.
§ Complete appropriate lockout tag out/procedures for area.
§ After properly shutting down equipment, remove dirty canister from the booster.
§ Insert clean canisters and restart equipment.
Maintenance Turnaround (MTA)
§ Disassemble, clean, and assemble table per work instructions.
§ Make material (biscuits) out of recycled parts.
Pot Making
§ Obtain materials and tools to perform task.
§ Follow proper loading procedures for material.
§ Complete weighing and recording for material being produced.
Weighing Parts, Loading, and Unloading
§ Unload parts from the reactor table.
§ Weigh parts
§ Load parts back into reactor table
§ Perform visual Inspection.
Data Entry
§ Enter work order information into JD Edwards, the Data Acquisition Recording System (DARS), and process records.

Expected Areas of Competence
§ Knowledge and compliance to all quality and operational specifications outlined for the CVD production area.
§ Must demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment by communicating effectively, being alert to helping others, and participate in problem solving and process improvement activities across all shifts.
§ Ability to learn 5S procedures and execution of each area.
§ Ability to perform work under minimal supervision.
§ Must be able to read and communicate in English.
Education/Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous production experience or experience with good manufacturing practices is preferred.
- Must be able to work a variety of different shifts including weekends.
