Here's your opportunity:
Handles day-to-day material handling tasks while assisting the Warehouse Supervisor with delegated tasks. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment.
Here's how you'll contribute:
Coordinates the daily requirements and responsibilities of the shipping and receiving department.*
Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
Assists in overseeing incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.*
Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
Compiles records of unfilled orders.
Posts weight and shipping charges.
Assists in the training of new hires.*
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves. Loads materials into vehicles.
Enter shipping information into a computer by hand or by using a hand-held scanner that reads bar codes on goods.*
Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on work order sheets.
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.*
Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or marks identifying shipping information on cartons, using provided equipment
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities

High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of warehouse or distribution center experience required. Valid forklift certification and experience required.
