Patrick Engineering Inc
Field Inspector - Rail & Transit (Finance)
Mission
The Field Inspector will work with CSX Transportation (CSXT) on the Transforming Rail in Virginia (TRV) Program, a landmark initiative expanding high-performance passenger and commuter rail service across the state. Be part of a team driving generational infrastructure improvements that reduce traffic, boost connectivity, and support economic growth.
The Virginia Passenger Rail Authority's (VPRA's) implementation of these projects will change how Virginians travel, removing traffic from roads and highways, and increasing commuting options in all corners of the state while improving performance and reliability. VPRA's partnerships, capital projects, and infrastructure enhancement programs will grow the Commonwealth's rail network by adding additional passenger and commuter services by doubling the state-supported Amtrak service between Washington, DC and Richmond.
As a Field Inspector, you'll play a key role in ensuring construction meets CSX Transportation's safety, quality, and schedule standards. You'll monitor daily site activities, report progress, and proactively address field issues to keep projects on track. This position reports directly to the Construction Manager or Resident Engineer.
