Recruiting and Staffing Coordinator (Human Resources)



POSITION SUMMARY:   Personnel Coordinator is responsible for maintaining qualified, experienced, skilled, trained, certified, and safety-oriented staff to fulfill traveling industrial construction needs in accordance with project's plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

·         Assign crew to each project

  • Read over all SOW's to identify work requirements
  • Verify trade crafts needed for Project with PM
  • Build crew list for project based off of craft requirements
  • Verify training certifications of each crew member
  • Welding, Millwright, Service Type, Equipment and etc.
  • Manage all field personnel of the company below supervision team
  • Ensure all performance reports are being completed and sent in on every job for each crew member
  • Manage all hiring and recruiting of field personnel below supervision
  • Ensure all hiring documents are complete and entered into the company systems correctly (UKG, GP and etc.)
  • Ensure all required training and testing documents are received and entered into the company systems
  • Ensure all data entered into company systems for each employee is accurate and up to date (UKG)
  • Manage all Performance Reviews, PIP's, Disciplinary and Merit tracking documents for each field personnel
  • Conduct semi-annual reviews on all field personnel to establish goals, suggest promotions & demotions, suggest pay increases or decreases if needed, removal / termination.
  • Manage all training and testing programs for field personnel
  • Set up all Certification Training
  • Weld testing, Millwright testing, Service Trade Jrny. & Appr. Testing, Equipment Operation Testing and etc.
  • Attend weekly Construction meetings
  • Discuss ways to improve personnel department, reduce cost and become more efficient in operations
  • Discuss upcoming projects and ensure project needs are met in regards to personnel requirements 
  • Set goals for upcoming week for personnel department

ATTRIBUTES:

Problem Solving – uses logic and methods to help solve problems.

  • Communication Skills – clear written and verbal instructions and notes are essential.
  • Must have great organizational skills and the ability to priorities duties to ensure on time completion of each task.
  • Working Knowledge – must develop the knowledge of our staffing needs.
  • Must be skilled in MS Office Suite
  • Must be experienced in HRIS software
  • Must be familiar with ERP & Payroll software
  • Must be proficient at data entry and record keeping
  • Must be able to work well within a team environment and take instructions from management and co-workers. 
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Must be able to make logical decisions that are unbiased and fact based.
  • Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job 

Physical Demands include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
  • The employee will be primarily in an office environment but will be required to be in a field setting 10% of the time
  • The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting
