ACH Administrator (Finance)

Position Overview:
The ACH Administrator is responsible for performing ACH billing and support to ensure the Human Capital Management (HCM) department operates effectively and efficiently. This person will be responsible for monitoring, generating, analyzing, and reconciling detailed ACH files and researching and resolving outages, discrepancies, and errors. This position will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll and tax transactions and will require a dependable and deadline-driven individual to meet processing timeframes and ensure continuity of critical payroll functions.
Responsibilities:
ACH profile origination and processing, including, but not limited to, ACH Block, ACH Filter and ACH Positive Pay set upFacilitate ACH Annual Review documentation; assist with SOC audit, and financial audits as neededMaintain time sensitive workflow relating to ACH processingReview ACH files originated and received to ensure all have been received and processed through applicable systems dailyProcess transactions related to ACH functions including adjustments, returns, reversals, notification of change (NOC), alerts and renewalsReview fee schedule and escalate any concerns/questions to the ACH CoordinatorOversee payroll tax collection and refund processesClient tax reconciliation during onboarding, offboarding, and at predetermined periods to balance client tax collections and paymentsAnalyze and develop processes related to processing financial transactions for efficiency, and risk and fraud mitigationLeverage relationships with banking and payment vendors to identify process or system enhancementsPayroll billing setup, maintenance, and supportAssist with EMS departmental accounting and finance projects as neededProvide support and assistance to payroll bank account reconciliation teamWorks with internal and external individuals to answer questions, resolve issues, and share informationRemains in compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements and regulationsStays up to date on software changes/enhancements to optimize software utilizationOther duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, payroll tax, and/or operations roleExperience with UKG and Master Tax preferredPayroll and/or payroll tax experience preferredPrior experience working with ACH filesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skills; with high quality standardsAnalytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to multitask and manage several implementations at the same timeAbility to work under pressure with tight deadlines
