Bankruptcy Representative (Legal)

Duties Include:

  • Entering new bankruptcy notices and making sure all collection efforts are stopped.
  • Processing Proof of Claims with courts in a timely manner.
  • Taking inbound calls from customers, attorneys, and trustees on bankruptcy accounts.
  • Processing Dismissals and Discharges, then moving accounts to the correct department.
  • Working a queue of Discharged Bankruptcy accounts.
  • Reviewing email requests from other departments for possible bankruptcy Issues. 
  • Handling physical mail received from attorneys, courts, and trustees in a timely manner.
  • Make sure all electric BNC and Banco notices are processed daily.
  • Make sure reaffirmation agreements are sent to attorneys as needed.
  • Help with active bankruptcy queue when needed.
  • Open communication with AVP and assist with additional tasks as needed.
  • Understanding and application of bankruptcy code and regulatory guidelines.
