Field Applications Engineer - Liquid Connectors (Finance)



Job Description Summary: The Field Application Engineer (FAE) - Liquid Connectors will be responsible for technical support and industry engagement across North America for Amphenol's metal and polymer-based liquid connector solutions used in data center infrastructure, energy storage and E-mobility systems. This individual will also be instrumental in Amphenol's participation and leadership in industry standards such as the Open Compute Project (OCP). Duties/Responsibilities: Support North American customers with liquid connector development, integration and troubleshooting including focusing on their current and future needs. Translate customer specs and models into connector solutions working closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to convert customer needs into solutions. Represent Amphenol in standards bodies such as OCP; contribute technical leadership. Drive innovation and application engineering for new product development. Collaborate with internal teams across global sites. Participate in field validation and pilot testing. Support sales and BD with technical expertise. Knowledge/Skills: Deep technical understanding of fluid handling, sealing, materials, and thermal performance. Proficiency in CAD (Creo, SolidWorks) and ability to interpret engineering drawings. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer and standards engagement. Microsoft Office proficiency. Ability to travel domestically up to 50%. Qualifications - Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering. 3-5+ years of technical experience with liquid connectors required and fluid cooling is a plus. Customer-facing experience required. Prior engagement with standard bodies is a plus. Knowledge of Data Center, Energy Storage and E-Mobility cooling applications preferred. Physical/Environmental Requirements Ability to work in labs, at customer sites, and with hands-on equipment. Occasional lifting of samples/equipment (up to 50 lbs). Regular domestic travel and occasional international travel.
