Advanced Systems Engr (Finance)



As a Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead and CAM Systems the Fire and Ice work packages in support of the HTF NG commercial turbofan development program. This includes managing schedule, budget, and risks as well as leading your work packages through major Systems Reviews (SRR, SFR, PDR, and CDR). You will lead the development of compliance strategies for Icing and Fire certification and develop mitigation strategies for both. You will lead development of Fire and Icing system requirements development and decomposition for the HTF NG turbofan system.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the aerospace industry by delivering high-quality systems engineering solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards, ultimately contributing to safer and more efficient air travel.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Minimum 3 years directly related engineering experience in the design, development, manufacture, and/or test of gas turbine engines.
  • Strong technical knowledge in systems integration and aerospace technologies.

WE VALUE
  • Advanced Engineering degrees such as MS in Aerospace Engineering or Systems Engineering.
  • Direct experience in the field of gas turbine engine module or system development and project management.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization to accomplish technical objectives under strict schedule constraints, including risk assessment, problem solving, decision making, motivation
  • Proficiency in systems modeling tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and manage customers both internal and external.
  • Aerospace systems or project engineering experience.
  • Experience in leading complex aerospace projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • CAM for Systems work packages with total spend of $1M annually. Responsible for earned value, schedule, milestones, and budget planning.
  • Support systems development activities to the following major Systems reviews:
    • SRR
    • SFR
    • PDR
    • CDR
    • Verification
  • Support system process development and standardization that will be applied to the Engines & Power Systems organization.
  • Expected to support and/or lead the following within the project team
    • Support the program for the assigned module or system
    • Leadership capability with diverse, cross functional team
    • Escalate effectively with leadership
    • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
    • Bias toward creative thinking and innovation in product design and approach to everyday work
    • Working knowledge of and commitment to IPDS processes
    • Promote strong team working relationships
    • Identify gaps and risks on behalf of the team
    • Support schedules and budgeted time for the assigned workscope
