Sr Finance Analyst (Finance)



As a Senior Finance Analyst here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making for our Research and Development (R&D) initiatives. Your analytical expertise will be critical in evaluating financial performance, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance business outcomes in our innovative projects.

You will report directly to our Finance Manager and you'll work out of our Minnesota, Broomfield, or Arizona location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the financial health of Honeywell by delivering comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting specifically tailored to R&D activities. Your work will directly influence strategic initiatives and operational efficiency, ensuring that the company meets its financial objectives in innovation and development.

The annual base salary pay range for this position is $87,200.00 - $109,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide financial insights, trends and recommendations to drive organizational efficiency.
  • Perform financial forecasting and variance analysis for relevant key financial metrics.
  • Partner with various departments to build forecasts and support financial decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and reports for the R&D organization.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecasts.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Support data analytics for finance team by leading reporting and forecasting process improvements and new dashboard tool deployment project.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of reports in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Perform other special projects and ad hoc requests, as necessary.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration.

WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial analysis within a corporate environment, preferably supporting R&D functions.
  • Teamwork oriented.
  • Strong data analytics and process improvement mindset; able to convert large data sets into meaningful insights.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Experience with financial systems and tools such as SAP, Hyperion Planning, and Essbase.
