High-school work-study: Product Support & Operations (Fall 2022/Spring 2023) (Information Technology)



We are looking for a High-school work-study: Product Support & Operations (Fall 2022/Spring 2023) for our location in the greater Salem, Oregon area. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and efficiently answering basic customer inbound phone calls and email inquiries and requests regarding products, orders, pricing and other services offered by Garmin.

We offer on-the-job training for high school seniors that could help you decide where to take your career. Our high school work-study program is designed to flex around your high school class schedule. You will gain hands-on experience within our walls during your senior year and find opportunities that can grow into a career.

You'll receive training and skill development with an industry leader, along with one-on-one mentorship and team collaboration. These roles are eligible for some benefits such as paid time off, 401k savings plan, and potential for tuition reimbursement.

What type of work fits you? We offer work-study programs in two different areas.

Working with your hands? Answering customer questions? Garmin has career-launching opportunities in these areas and more. In our work-study program, you'll find opportunities to explore a variety of work areas and career paths within our company.

  • Product support: Are you a problem solver? Do you love technology and get excited to share that with others? If you answered “yes,” then a career as a Product Support Specialist might be for you.
  • Manufacturing: Do you have an interest in electronics and like to work with your hands? If solving complex problems and using tools sounds like your thing, you'd be a good fit in manufacturing.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for:

  • High School Seniors who plan to enter the workforce upon graduation
  • Able to work a set schedule of 2pm-5pm during the Fall and/or Spring semester
  • Can work in-person at our Salem facilities
