Client Capacity Planning Advisor, Long Range Forecasting - Evernorth - Remote (Finance)



POSITION SUMMARY

The Client Capacity Planning Advisor plays a critical role in partnering with Underwriting and Pre-sale planning teams to drive strategic capacity decisions through advanced analysis, compelling data visualization, and insightful reporting. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing capacity forecasting models, translating complex data into actionable recommendations that optimize resource utilization and ensure best-in-class service levels across both short-term and long-term horizons. This role will serve as a key resource, providing expert guidance to business partners to navigate operational complexities and achieve strategic objectives.

Candidates who reside within 50 miles of the following locations will require the flexibility to perform onsite 3 days per week: Bloomfield, CT, Chattanooga, TN, Denver, CO, St Louis, MO, and Scottsdale, AZ.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategic Capacity Analysis & Forecasting: Lead the development and refinement of capacity forecasting models for back-office operational teams, specifically within Underwriting and Pre-sale. This includes reviewing and trending key metrics such as receipts, inventory, membership, attainment, barrier time, productivity, at work/on prod, attrition, volume mix, and on-shore vs. off-shore staffing requirements.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Design, develop, and deliver high-impact data visualizations and reports that clearly communicate complex workforce insights, performance trends, and strategic recommendations to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and matrix partners.
  • Strategic Advisory & Recommendations: Collaborate closely with business partners on a monthly basis to review analytical results, provide strategic direction on optimal staff leverage, present forecasted outcomes, and offer data-driven recommendations on new hire needs, conversion skill requirements, and up-training initiatives.
  • Operational Optimization: Apply solution-based strategic thinking to identify opportunities for operational efficiency, enabling the business to operate as lean as possible without compromising quality or risking key metric results.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Manage and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across the WFM organization and external business units, serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Performance Monitoring & Remediation: Monitor and publish results against plans, proactively identify performance gaps, and lead the development and implementation of remediation strategies with operations.
  • Scenario Planning: Partner with business functions to create detailed "what-if" scenarios, enabling informed decision-making by illustrating the impacts of various assumptions on inventory and operational outcomes.
  • Communication to Leadership: Clearly communicate inventory hot spots, bottlenecks, and proposed remediation plans to leadership, ensuring transparency and proactive problem-solving.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in recurring team meetings and 1x1s, contributing to ongoing process enhancements and knowledge sharing.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Science, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in workforce management, financial/budget planning, or supply chain analytics.
  • Operational knowledge of the underwriting or presale process a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel- e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, VBA/macros.
  • Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools to create impactful and interactive dashboards- e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker.
  • Experience with database querying and understanding of data warehousing concepts preferred- e.g., SQL.
  • Knowledge of Alteryx or Python a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, oral, and listening) with a proven ability to present complex data and proposals compellingly to multiple audiences, facilitating clear and constructive dialogue among matrix partners.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency and acute attention to detail, self-motivated

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 76,500 - 127,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
