Over the last decade there has been a fundamental shift in how companies create and deploy new applications or migrate monolith applications to modern architectures using more efficient, agile, processes and tools. While many teams know that enterprise grade infrastructure and security management is still very much needed within these modern application architectures and their respective new ways of working, there's a lot of organizations that need to know this message. To meet greater business agility, organizations are evolving their application security practices as well as using best in class managed services to offload the burden of stopping some of the most evasive threats. You'll know this too and have a passion for it.
The Solution Marketing Manager is responsible for the design and creation of content and digital experiences that effectively position F5 solutions to customers, prospects, partners, and system integrators. You will be the voice of the customer – bringing a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of the cybersecurity market audiences and buying centers. You'll drive and coordinate development and delivery of F5's solution campaigns targeting specific market needs that support F5 corporate marketing objectives.
This role requires the ability to successfully manage collaboration with F5's functional teams, including Product Management, Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, Corporate Communications and Field Marketing. You'll also need the technical capabilities to work cross functionally with engineering, professional services, and sales. The experience you bring and the cross-functional alignment you drive will result in compelling messaging and content journeys that resonate with our target audiences which change the perceptions of hearts and minds.
Internal and external subject matter expert on all things related to marketing security solutions including but not limited to:
Deep understanding of the security buyer and their buying process
Understand trends and drivers in the security market
Proficient in understanding broader market of security technologies. Preference to understanding of F5's specific security technologies.
Ability to build/execute strong campaign and content plans for security solutions
Development of security solution content
Research, build and deliver strong product to solution security messaging in conjunction with Product Marketing.
Build comprehensive security solution campaign plans including messaging and supporting content like website copy, eBooks, reference architectures, white papers and ensure all timelines are met.
Work with industry vertical solution marketing managers to adapt horizontal use cases into more vertical-oriented messaging and content.
Owns driving strategy and vision for your focus solution areas, collaborate on content and marketing plans and drive the delivery campaigns and their supporting content for use by the field marketing organization.
Conduct as required any supporting target market analysis and audience definition, and market research necessary to increase market understanding across F5 or in support of specific solution campaign development.
Coordinate with Business Development and manage the sales engagement and communication of any security focused third-party partnerships. Ensure the field and channel understands these solutions and routinely communicates solutions in a standard format.
6+ years analyzing or implementing security products and solutions
BA/BS degree desired. Your experience matters more.
Good teamwork and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively across the organization.
Knowledge of enterprise marketing and sales processes.
Expert written, verbal and presentation communication skills including to executive audiences.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 10% of the time may be spent traveling.
